Purpose in the Resolution

“To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under Heaven.” ~Ecclesiastes 3:1

As I wait for the clock to strike 12:00, I can’t help but feel like Cinderella. The magical feeling of the holidays will be over, and life goes back to the closest thing to normal. 2023 was filled with highs and lows, but the last few weeks have felt like a fairytale. When the new year rolls in, I will be working on resolutions I have written.

The scripture above was on a notepad I used, and it has been on my mind ever since. I was writing during a low time I was going through, and it seems as if God was whispering “Trust Me.”

It was so hard at the moment because I enjoy controlling the outcome of any situation. You know what they say: “When we plan…”

If you have experienced any hardships this holiday, let this blog encourage you. This season of sadness, loneliness, helplessness, etc. will not last always. In fact, it is meant to teach us something. For me, I need to trust God more, and possibly pray the serenity prayer whenever it’s quiet. Whatever your struggle, don’t forget that you are loved unconditionally and created with a purpose.

Sincerely Your Sister,

JJJ.
