Life with a toddler is fun, but I realized I had to become brave with a toddler. Wednesday was one of those days. I had to fight my first real nemesis since JR was born: a lizard.
Hear me out. I love animals, but reptiles and insects are not for me. When I walked out of my bedroom and seen it on the living room floor, I knew I had to act quickly. Sadly, I was not quick enough. As soon as I tried catching it, the lizard ran under my loveseat. I lost sight of it after that.
Being the mature adult that I am, I called my mom to freak out. As I freaked out, I still made sure that JR sat in her high chair for lunch. How is it that even possible? Mom power?
My parents came that afternoon to help find the unwanted tenant. We looked everywhere for it, but it was hidden so well. After my parents put preventative measures in place around the house, they left. To make a long story short, the lizard came out of hiding and I put it outside.
My cousin joked about needing my parents to come get a lizard from her house. This the part God wanted me to share with you. She lives in a different state. My cousin spoke that lizard into existence. When she walked through her front door, the lizard was waiting for her.
Proverbs 18:20-21
“A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Our words are powerful. How are you using your words in your life? Are you speaking life or death? Wealth or poverty? Sickness or health? Love or hate? Success or failure?
We have become so careless with our words. We speaking things into our life that God never intended for us. Be intentional with what you say today. God gave you dominion. Simply, when you speak, it has to come to pass. Talk about how blessed you are, and how doors are opening in your life. Speak over yourself.
Let’s change what we are saying to ourselves each morning. Let’s get in agreement with God’s word. The Bible has so many encouraging words in it. All we have to do is open it and take a look.
Sincerely Your Sister,
JJJ.
