Stay at Home Mom

Joshua 24:15
“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”

My daughter and I came back home from a very eventful day. She had fallen asleep on the ride back, so I received a rare moment to slow down and look at her. In that moment, I seen so many of my family members that have passed away. She has so many of their facial features.

When I seen them in her, the Holy Spirit whispered that the healing I am going through isn’t just for my daughter. It is also for the generations that came before me.

My healing is as imperative for my ancestors as it is for my descendants. See some chains have to be broken off of their past to make way for a healed future. Generational curse have to broken to bring forth generational blessings.

I’m ready to go to war on behalf of my ancestors and descendants. I’m pulling up my hair and taking off my earrings. I’m ready to fight for my right to live a peaceful life.

Sis, you can remain where you are, and walking around the same mountain. Keep making the same mistakes, if you want. Keep up the unhealthy habits because that’s how things have been done for generations. Doing it the way your mother and grandmother did it, even though it caused you trauma that you are still not healed from.

But as for me and my house… We will follow what God has for us. We will listen to His voice. We will care for and love others as we do ourselves, so that means we have to step up our self-love game. We will go to counseling. We will rise early and seek God.

If you are wanting to take this healing journey with us, there’s one thing that you have to do: forgive. A lot of the unhealthy habits we have are the result of a painful past. It’s time to let go of that past.

I know that person hurt you, and you feel like you can’t trust again. The God I serve isn’t like that person. His intentions are pure, and He is not here to hurt you. He loves you and wants to heal you and every generation connected to you. The choice is yours.
