Time is Precious

Sixteen months into being a mom, and I realizing more and more that my time with my daughter is precious. Time doesn’t wait for anyone. Seconds, minutes, hours and days just keep flying by. My beautiful daughter keeps growing like a flower.

Today, I am deciding to live in this moment, and I will trust God with the rest. I want to enjoy my life. I have spent too many days worrying, second guessing, etc. My time with my love is too precious. I don’t know what tomorrow may bring. Maybe the dreams I have for the future will not come true. Maybe life won’t go as planned.

So what now? What do you do when you have no control over anything? What does the person who strives for perfection do? She/He learns to let go and enjoy the moment she’s/he’s in right now.

I feel like God is using this post to reach out to you. Maybe you feel like time is slipping through your fingers. You are reading all the time management books, and you are implementing every technique. Somehow things don’t work out like they do for that YouTuber.

Time wasn’t meant to be controlled. Every moment we have should be lived to the fullest. God gave us this beautiful gift of the present, and I don’t want to waste it worrying about something I could never control. You shouldn’t either.

Prayer: Lord, I pray that the person reading this blog will know how precious their time is. You created each person with gifts, talents, and abilities that are uniquely their own, but I wish we could see that our time is uniquely ours also. Give every person that knowledge and understanding. Using time wisely doesn’t mean worrying about each moment. Let every moment we have be pleasing to You. Help us to see that You hold the future like You hold every star in the sky and the planets in orbit. Thank You for every moment given. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
